Limited Lifetime Warranty

We stand behind every repair we make, for as long as you own your vehicle.

At Heritage Collision Experts, we want you to drive away confident in your repair. That’s why the collision repairs we perform are backed by a limited lifetime warranty. This page explains what’s covered, what isn’t, and how to reach us if something isn’t right.

What’s covered

Subject to the terms and exclusions below, Heritage Collision Experts (“Heritage”) warrants that the repairs listed on your repair order will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for the periods shown. If a covered defect occurs, we will repair, refinish or replace the affected area or part, at our option, at no charge for parts or labor.

Body and structural workmanship

Lifetime

Sheet metal repair, panel replacement and fit, welding and bonding, frame and unibody straightening, and corrosion protection we apply to repaired areas.

Paint and refinish

Lifetime

Peeling, delamination, blistering, cracking, checking, loss of gloss, and excessive fading or loss of pigment on areas we refinished.

ADAS and sensor calibration

Lifetime, subject to inspection

Calibration and aiming of cameras, radar and other driver-assistance sensors performed as part of your repair. See the calibration conditions below.

Mechanical and electrical repairs

6 months or 8,000 miles

Workmanship on mechanical, suspension, cooling, A/C and electrical repairs performed as part of the collision repair, whichever comes first, measured from the date and mileage when your vehicle was delivered.

Replacement parts

Per part manufacturer

New parts carry their manufacturer’s warranty. Our workmanship in installing them is covered under the categories above.

“Lifetime” means for as long as the customer who authorized the repair owns the vehicle.

What isn’t covered

This warranty does not cover, and Heritage is not responsible for:

  • Damage from any later collision, accident, vandalism, theft, fire, flood, hail or other act of nature.
  • Normal wear and tear, including rock chips, stone and gravel damage, scratches, and scuffs from ordinary driving.
  • Environmental damage, including bird droppings, tree sap, insect residue, industrial fallout, acid rain, rail dust and chemical spotting.
  • Abuse, neglect, misuse, racing, off-road use, or failure to perform reasonable care and maintenance, including the use of harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning methods on refinished surfaces.
  • Any repair, alteration or modification to the repaired areas performed by anyone other than Heritage.
  • Parts supplied by the customer, and the labor to install or replace them.
  • Used, recycled, remanufactured or aftermarket parts beyond the warranty offered by the part’s supplier.
  • Rust or corrosion that existed before the repair, and any rust or corrosion outside the areas we repaired.
  • Any repair, procedure or part we recommended that the customer or insurance company declined to authorize, and any condition resulting from that decision.
  • Pre-existing damage, and any area of the vehicle not listed on the repair order.
  • Slight color or texture variation between refinished panels and the original factory finish that is within accepted industry standards, and natural aging of original, unrepaired paint.

ADAS and sensor calibration conditions

Lifetime coverage on ADAS and sensor calibration applies only if a Heritage inspection confirms that, since your vehicle was delivered, none of the following has occurred:

  • Alterations or modifications affecting sensor mounting or aim, such as lift or lowering kits, a change in tire or wheel size, or bumper, grille or windshield accessories.
  • Windshield, bumper, mirror or sensor replacement, removal or re-calibration by anyone other than Heritage.
  • Any later impact or damage to the areas where sensors are mounted.

If the inspection finds any of these conditions, the calibration is no longer covered, and we will provide an estimate for re-calibration.

How to make a warranty claim

  1. Contact us promptly after you notice a problem. Continuing to drive after a defect is discovered may cause additional damage that isn’t covered.
  2. Have your repair order number ready, and bring the vehicle to our shop for inspection during normal business hours.
  3. We’ll determine whether the condition is covered and, if so, whether to repair, refinish or replace the affected area or part. Only the specific area or part affected will be corrected.
  4. All warranty work is performed at our facility. We can’t reimburse repairs made by another shop unless we’ve approved them in writing in advance.

Who is covered

This warranty applies only to the customer who authorized the repair, and only while that customer owns the vehicle. It is not transferable and ends automatically if the vehicle is sold, traded or otherwise transferred, if a lease ends, or if the vehicle is declared a total loss.
